Bohol Earthquake Victims: Chosen Beneficiary of P1-Million Prize of 1st UNTV CUP Grand Champion Team Judiciary

Team Judiciary, which was declared the First UNTV CUP Grand Champion on Tuesday, will donate their P1-Million cash prize to the earthquake victims in Bohol.

With a score of 86, the Team Judiciary won over Team PNP’s score of 83 during the UNTV CUP Finals on Nov. 5 at Smart-Araneta. Team PNP’s chosen charity – Masonic Charities for Crippled Children Inc. (MCCCI) – will receive P500,000.

Chief Justice Lourdes Sereno personally received the cash prize of P1-Million in behalf of Team Judiciary from Daniel Razon, Chairman and CEO of Breakthrough and Milestones Productions International (BMPI).

Over at Twitter and Facebook, the hashtag #UNTVCUPfinals landed a spot twice on November 5. At around 3 p.m. and immediately after the winning team was announced at around 11 p.m.

Kicked off in July this year, UNTV CUP, which marries basketball league with charity and tapped different players from the public sector and entertainment sector, is a brainchild of Razon or Kuya Daniel.

Bro. Eliseo F. Soriano of Members Church of God International (MCGI), which is more popularly known for its popular radio-television show Ang Dating Daan, is one of the biggest supporters of this benefit basketball league.
