Daniel Razon Wins as The Luminary of Rappler’s Do More Awards

“Doing more is like grabbing every opportunity that you have and not letting it pass. Every opportunity that you have to do good, you grab it.”

This was the very words from Daniel Razon, then The Luminary finalist, in his profile from Rappler.

Now, these very words reverberate more deeply because the current CEO of UNTV is the officially-declared Ultimate Luminary of Rappler.com and Rexona’s search for modern Filipino heroes who do more with Do More Awards.

Razon is also the people’s favorite for the honor, garnering 94% percent of the public vote.

Razon was not present to receive the award from television and film actor Marvin Agustin as of the awards night ceremonies coincide with the premiere screening of his sophomore film, Isang Araw (One Day) for the benefit of Typhoon Yolanda victims. Razon stars, writes and directs the independent film.

Daniel Razon is People’s Choice to Win the Ultimate Luminary of Do More Awards

Daniel Razon, the current CEO of UNTV and a veteran broadcaster, is one of the public favorites to win as the Ultimate Luminary of the Do More Awards of Rappler and Rexona.

According to the Rappler website, the one month voting period has ended on November 24. The public votes will make up 40% of each nominee’s final score while the panel’s vote makes up 60% of the total score.

Razon has scooped more than 93% of the public votes during the run of public voting.

Just for this month, Razon has been a recipient of EPIC Awards of the Philippine Academy of Medical Specialists (PAMS) and the Gintong Palad Award for Public Service from the Movie Writers Welfare Foundation (MWWF).

He hosts Good Morning Kuya, Get It Straight with Daniel Razon, and Munting Pangarap at UNTV. On radio, he’s the popular voice behind Dear Kuya being aired by Radyo La Verdad 1350 Khz.  

Razon is the progenitor of UNTV’s ‘Tulong Muna Bago Balita’, a journalism advocacy that aims to prioritize saving lives in danger than reporting. The advocacy launched in 2010 has earned recognitions from different groups, including the MWWF.
